Frostburg's Annual Block Party
Join us for the annual Frostburg Block Party. Meet local store owners, play games, giveaways, food vendors, music, and much, much, more. Participate in the annual hot pepper eating contest for a cash prize. Don't feel like walking? FSU's SafeRide program is available at the following locations from 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm Annapolis Hall, Edgewood, Guild Center, and Frostburg State University Police Department. Frostburg’s Beautify the ’Burg
Hosted the first Saturday in May every year, Beautify the ‘Burg is an annual event that brings students, faculty, staff, and community members together to clean up Frostburg. Stars of Excellence
The Stars of Excellence Awards was established in 2007 and was based on the national standards of all organizations and the university expectations of each chapter. The expectations cover intellectual and social development, personal health and moral values growth, organizational responsibility, proper risk management, scholarship, community and philanthropic service monetary donations, and chapter programming. State Capitol Immersion Trip
Each March, the J. Glenn Beall Institute for Public Affairs and the Office of Civic Engagement host a free student trip to meet state governmental officials, tour the statehouse, have lunch with the western Maryland delegation and current FSU interns, and see live debate on current state legislation. Dress is business casual. The trip is from 7:30 a.m. to approximately 9 p.m. Lunch is provided, but it is recommended to bring money for dinner/snacks before returning home.
